One thing I've noticed, as I move away from being all-in on Google, is how sticky features you never before needed can become. Google gets pressure for closing features people love all the time (Reader, Plus, etc). What people don't notice is how easy it is to start relying on little features you never needed before. For me sports scores, live traffic and news are probably the 3 biggest examples, although I'm sure there are others.
